Two Kingdoms in One Day                                     back


This exclusive tour takes you by ferry to Sweden to the beautiful countryside of Skaane which once was part of the Danish kingdom! Start the tour by following the coastline from Copenhagen to Elsinore, passing through fashionable resorts and beautiful residential areas. You will cross the sound of Oresund to Helsingborg and continue to the park of Sofiero Castle with the many rhododendrons in full bloom. Royal Gardens of Sofiero, once the summer residence of the late King Gustaf VI Adolph, this stately manor house is now known for its splendid gardens.  Drive to the fairytale castle Trollenäs to enjoy lunch. Afterwards the tour goes to Lund Cathedral - from where the Danish archbishop exercised his ecclesiastical power in the middle ages. Having experienced some Swedish highlights  with a touch of Danish delights, you will cross the bridge built in 2000 connecting the two kingdoms. This new connection consists of a 9-km Oeresund bridge and a 4-km tunnel.
The drive back takes you through the Danish capital of Copenhagen.
